Slant Six Studios is my personal creative outlet—I’m Dave Peterson, a lifelong musician with a deep passion for sound, songwriting, and sonic exploration. My musical journey began at age 13 in Michigan, behind a drum kit in a garage band with friends. That early spark grew into a lasting love for writing, recording, and producing original music—something I continue to develop in my home studio using Virtual Studio Technology (VST) and a commitment to the craft.

My music is shaped by a wide range of influences—from legendary artists to the friends and collaborators who helped define my sound during my teenage and college years. Slant Six Studios has grown with me over time, evolving from spare bedrooms to basement setups across different homes. Wherever it’s been, it has always remained a space for honesty, creativity, and self-expression.  The music I create lives largely in the instrumental pop and rock space, blending melody, atmosphere, and emotion.
